Santa Vižine was born in Latvia. She graduated from Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music in 2011. The Violist is a laureate of several Latvian and international competitions. Santa Vižine attended masterclasses with Petras Radzevicius, Andra Dārziņa, Saulius Sondeckis, Miguel Da Silva, and Gilad Karni. Also, spent a year at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Academy in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Vižine has performed in the Enesco Festival in Bucharest, Romania, in 2011 (second viola solo for George Enesco String Octet), 75th Anniversary of The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance in 2008 (principal assistant viola for Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem), and others. She played with the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester from 2009 to 2013.
Santa is a member of Kremerata Baltica since 2012.
